WP Engine, a managed services platform for premium WordPress websites, is to create 100 jobs in Limerick over the next three years.
WP Engine powers 5pc of the world’s websites and globally, more than 350,000 brands use WP Engine across 136 countries.
Since the launch of its London office in 2015, WP Engine’s customer base has more than doubled. The opening of the Limerick centre will further support the surging demand for managed WordPress across EMEA.

The company provides support for websites around the world 24/7, 365 days a year.
Limerick will be the company’s first customer service hub outside the US.
Powering up the regions
“This follows on from recent jobs announcements, which show that there is a momentum growing for jobs in regions around Ireland,” said Jobs Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor, TD.
“Ireland’s growing expertise in the ICT sector and our commitment to ensuring that we can provide the requisite skills for companies like WP Engine is clear for all to see.”
The new centre will also expand what is the WordPress community’s largest R&D organisation, with a dedicated team in Limerick working with a similar team in the US to accelerate WP Engine’s managed WordPress platform.

WP Engine’s customers range from individuals and start-ups to multinationals including AMD, Network Rail, New Relic, SoundCloud, Under Armour and Warby Parker.
