Twitter announced the relaunch of its online resource for businesses using the social network yesterday (and no, it’s not an April fool’s joke).

The redesigned business.twitter.com features a wealth of information on how brands and marketers can use Twitter to engage with their customers or audience, from learning the basics to more advanced marketing tips.

The site is also filled with ideas on how businesses can build a name for themselves using Twitter to push special offers, exclusive content and retweet promotions, as well as using the network for real-time customer service. These functions of Twitter are illustrated through a wide range of success stories included on the site, from brands such as Airbnb, Cadbury’s Wispa, ESPN, Hailo, Sharpie and Volkswagen.

The site also provides Twitter’s business users with the developer tools they need to embed follow buttons and tweet streams on their websites.

While clearly directed at promoting Twitter’s advertising services, the website is nonetheless a very useful resource for any business just becoming familiar with the network of 200m active users.
