Sony will reportedly reveal the PlayStation Portable 2 on 27 January followed by what could be the PlayStation Phone in February.
According to Bloomberg, Sony will also reveal its strategy to use its networked entertainment services to share media with handheld products, TVs and other devices.
Other reports suggest Sony has told licensees the next version of the PlayStation Portable will be as powerful as the PlayStation 3 and will see a release in the fourth quarter of 2011.
It is said to include a HD screen and twin stick controls.
The games-oriented phone, heavily rumoured and so far dubbed “The PlayStation Phone,” will also get revealed in February.
It is a project by Sony Ericsson and information on the device has trickled out over the past few months.
The smartphone is said to feature a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, 512MB of RAM and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
