#MythologicalSongs sends out a siren call on Twitter

18 Feb 2016

From time to time, hashtags materialise on Twitter that achieve mythological status. Hashtags like #iLookLikeAnEngineer, #MarRef and #JeSuisCharlie were huge, and became part of the global conversation.

Today’s trending hashtag, though, is mythological in a different way, reaching back into the annals of human history and paying homage to the greatest myths of our time – through song titles.

With #MythologicalSongs, kicked off by tweeter Andy the Wise just a few hours ago, the Twitterverse has come together to give the old legends new life.

From classic rock to ’80s pop, and even on to children’s nursery rhymes, #MythologicalSongs offers something for everyone, and the punning is massively on point.
