Fáilte Ireland will soon be bringing Ireland’s most beautiful and remote landscapes to Google Maps Street View with the help of a Google Trekker backpack.
It might have been a cold afternoon down on the South Wall in Dublin’s docklands, but unbeknownst to those walking the wall it was being mapped for Google Maps using the Google Trekker backpack.
To explain how the weighty piece of equipment works, Fáilte Ireland’s Colin Hindle takes us through all the different components that make up the Google Trekker and how he operates it during his walks.
