Liberty IT Galway site lead Darren Muldoon gave SiliconRepublic.com a glimpse of what life will be like at the company's new hub in The Portershed.
“When I learned about the opportunity for Galway site lead, I was really excited,” said Darren Muldoon of the moment he found out that Liberty IT would be opening a new hub in Galway city. As well as being a great new challenge for him, such a leadership role would allow him to bring his engineering skills to Galway.
“I was also really excited about being able to work with our external partners, our universities, external tech companies and all of the organisations that are here to help support a better Galway and an industrial Galway.”
“Our Galway hub is going to be a member of our Liberty IT operation here on the island of Ireland, complementing Belfast and Dublin and just like those other two locations, Galway is going to be a place where autonomous teams can own the entire software development life cycle from design to implementation to production and operation,” he told SiliconRepublic.com.
“And all of our teams will be working into our parent company Liberty Mutual Insurance which is a top property and casualty global insurer. At Liberty IT, we pride ourselves on a culture of excellent engineering and that’s really important for us across all of our operations here in Ireland.”
