Northdoor, the technology services provider which has established its Irish arm as a limited company, has said it plans to quadruple its revenues in Ireland over the next two years.

The company also intends to double its staff headcount over the next 12 months.

The company originally set up in Ireland last year to serve customers in the financial sector that had moved some of their operations to Ireland. Its Irish customer base now includes Bank of Ireland, Fexco Kerry Group, Vodafone, O2 and Meteor.

“In the past 12 months we had revenues of €2m from nothing. Our current business plan is that we expect to quadruple that over the next two years,” said Andy Chalkin, managing director of Northdoor Ltd. “We’re going to do that organically but an acquisition is not out of the question,” added Stephen O’Reilly, commercial director with Northdoor. Overall group revenue figures for the firm are around €26m and a net profit figure of more than €3.6m for the most recent fiscal year.

The company now plans to bring its other lines of business to Ireland including software transformation projects, database consultancy and hardware sales based around IBM servers. Northdoor also has sole distribution rights in this country for Hyperion business performance management software.

Northdoor’s Dublin office currently has nine employees, mainly in sales and technical roles and Chalkin confirmed that the company plans to double this number over the coming year.
