Strencom signals growth intentions via channel programme

Cork-based business IP services provider Strencom plans to double in size over the next three to four years and increase annual revenues by €4m on the back of a new channel partner programme.

Strencom hopes to drive 70pc of its revenue through the channel programme. It is currently recruiting partners and already has the first four on board.

Strencom said its research into the Irish channel identified that companies are increasingly looking for a single source for their entire IT infrastructure and network. The research showed that for most Irish IT resellers the missing link is the ability to design, build and manage a wide area network (WAN) for companies with multi-site locations.

Consequently, the company’s initial channel offering is a managed WAN service for systems integrators and IT resellers serving medium-sized Irish organisations.

“We are looking to partner with Ireland’s leading systems integration and IT service providers,” said Tom Byrne, head of channel development, Strencom. “We believe we have a very compelling package of a flexible all-Ireland and UK network, as well as an ability to audit customer needs and then deliver a custom-fit solution, which delivers a lower total cost of ownership network plan.”

“The channel partner programme is a significant step forward in Strencom’s business growth strategy,” remarked Tim Murphy, managing director, Strencom. “It will support the company’s ambitious expansion targets, which include doubling the size of the company and increasing annual revenues by €4m over the next three to four years.

“We are investing a significant amount of time, money and resources into this programme and given our size and flexibility I believe we are the only wide area network provider in Ireland with the capability to deliver tailored solutions to channel partners in the voice and data industry.”

Strencom currently employs 15 people in its Dublin and Cork offices.
