The board of the Irish Internet Association (IIA) announces the appointment of Irene Gahan to the position of chief executive officer. Gahan was one of the founding board members of the association in 1997 and was re-appointed to the board in 2002. She has worked within the internet industry in Ireland since 1996 and held a number of senior management positions in the areas of internet training and consultancy services.
