Digiweb gives chatterboxes something to talk about

Irish broadband provider Digiweb has released two new consumer bundles combining landline calls and broadband with Chatterbox and Talk, which it claims costs up to 85pc less than that offered by incumbent telecoms provider Eircom.

These services will allow customers to avail of unlimited national and international calls for under €4 per month, the company says.

Digiweb, who have offered cost-efficient phone services for the past two years, will also be offering reduced landline rental.

While the pre-existing phone services only extended to Digiweb’s own metro and wireless networks, the new bundles will also apply across competitor networks so existing customers or consumers with a traditional landline can sign up for Chatterbox or Talk.

“We are excited to extend our low-cost and award-winning phone services to a much wider customer base nationwide. We look forward to welcoming many new customers to Digiweb who are unsatisfied with the overcharging and poor service of certain other providers,” said Colm Piercy, CEO of Digiweb.

“With our multitude of networks and technologies we offer customers real choice and we’ve made a point of creating broadband and call packages tailored to our customers real needs, calling patterns and lifestyles.”

Digiweb was in the news recently when the company won a contract worth €125,000 to provide Dublin-based online hotel-booking site CentralR with a customised web-hosting package.
