Vodafone has unveiled a new offer whereby Pay as You Go customers can gain up to 40pc extra any network credit as part of its ‘Catch Up’ campaign. The company also plans to give away €3.2m worth of mobile phone vouchers.

From now until 10 October, Vodafone’s 1.5 million Pay as You Go customers can receive 20pc extra credit on top ups of €20, 30pc extra credit on €30 top ups, and 40pc extra credit on top ups of €40 and above.

Extra credit can be used to catch up with friends no matter what network they’re on, and customers can keep their free calls and texts.

“Last January, Vodafone gave away over €5m in free credit to our Pay as You Go customers,” Stefano Gastaut, consumer director at Vodafone Ireland explained.

“Now we are delighted to announce the launch of Catch Up and give away €3.2m worth of mobile phone vouchers next month.

“September is the time when friends catch up after a busy summer and Vodafone is delighted to offer real value and makes it easier than ever for our customers to stay in touch,” Gastaut said.

Vodafone is offering a special switching price on the Sony Ericsson Spiro, available from €39.99 online and from €49.99 in stores for Pay as You Go customers who switch to Vodafone.

The Sony Ericsson Spiro with Walkman includes email, Facebook and Twitter capabilities.
