Bullies targeted the Royal Family on Facebook following the launch of the monarchy’s social media presence, which goes along with its Twitter, YouTube and Flickr presence.

Currently, 146,523 people like the The British Monarchy’s official Facebook page, however, some web surfing subjects have taken the opportunity to vent their distate branding them "inbred" and "scrounging layabouts" according to a report in the Telegraph.

The page is being used primarily to post Buckingham Palace news and record social diary events.

The Facebook page was launched yesterday.
