Workers at internet search giant Google’s European headquarters in Dublin will be able to take a dip in the company’s own swimming pool – assuming Dublin City Council grants the company planning permission for the pool and gym.

Google is to apply to Dublin City Council for the planning permission to build the facilities in the Montevetro building on Barrow Street.

Details of the application for planning permission for the pool are not yet available, and it’s likely to be made to the council by the end of this week, The Irish Times reported.

The new pool and gym join a list of perks Google staff at the HQ in Dublin can enjoy onsite. Among them are meals, massages, pool tables and video-game consoles.

Google employs more than 2,000 people in Dublin. The company has been operating from Ireland since 2003.
