Although Paul the “psychic” octopus is barely cold in his watery grave, Germany has unveiled octopus Paul II as his successor. But will the new creature amass the thousands of fans and huge Facebook following as the first Paul?
The invertebrate’s predicting predecessor, Paul the first, wowed viewers of the last World Cup with his accurate games predictions – which garnered him thousands of Facebook followers the world over via several fan pages.
The new octopus carries the name of his late predecessor and was introduced to his aquarium in Oberhause, Germany, before TV cameras. No word yet if Paul II also has psychic abilities.
