Cloud computing firm SourceDogg is creating 80 jobs in Galway. Enterprise Ireland is working with the company to support it through its next phase of development.
The 80 jobs are across areas such as engineering, IT support and professional services. It follows SourceDogg’s previous addition of 12 staff members in late 2011 after an investment from Nucleus Venture Partners.
“If we are to reach the levels of employment and economic growth which we are determined to achieve, we must create a powerful engine of indigenous enterprise,” said Richard Bruton, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
“Crucial in this will be exporting companies, and in particular high-tech, engineering-driven companies, and the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs spells out a range of measures we will take to support these companies as they expand and create jobs.
“I am delighted to announce the creation of 80 jobs in this dynamic company. I am determined that, with the proper supports from Government, companies like SourceDogg can drive the sustainable, enterprise-led, job-creating recovery we so badly need,” he said.
Mark Scanlon and John Quigley founded SourceDogg in 2009. It has a growing number of customers across five countries, including a recent signing from Aer Lingus.
“The new jobs at SourceDogg are a great opportunity for individuals to be an early part of an Irish success story. We will be the largest company in this sector worldwide by 2014,” said Scanlon.
