Taxback International intends to strengthen its hold of the Irish marketplace by adding 80 new fintech positions at its Kilkenny HQ.
Today (24 November), VAT recovery specialist Taxback International has added 80 new positions at its Kilkenny headquarters in order to respond to increased demand from Irish and global clients.
The international organisation was established in 1996 as part of the Taxback Group, which employs 1,200 people worldwide. A different subsidiary of this group, Immedis, recently announced plans to double its workforce by 2020.
Taxback International said recruitment is already underway. The job search is focusing on roles from graduates to senior-level executives in the areas of sales and marketing, as well as R&D roles to support its product development plans.
Catherine Quirke, chief commercial officer of Taxback International, said she is thrilled to be recruiting for these exciting new roles in Kilkenny. “VAT recovery is becoming an increasingly important service to businesses worldwide as companies look to increase their bottom line, which is why demand for our service is growing at a rapid pace.
“It is incredible to see our growth over the last few years. Our reputation in the industry is unparalleled and our corporate strategy has focused our reach into global territories, resulting in the success we have seen to date.”
The announcement was made with the support of Enterprise Ireland and Minister for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen TD.
Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, added: “Ireland is a hub for fintech innovation and, as a key sector, Enterprise Ireland is focused on supporting fintech companies with global ambition to grow their businesses in international markets while creating employment at home.
“I am delighted to see Taxback International’s continued progress over the last few years giving rise to further investment and additional jobs, which is a great boost for Kilkenny as well as the wider region.”
