Irish-headquartered CRH plc, one of the world’s largest building materials providers, has been shortlisted as one of the top 4 FTSE 100 corporate websites at the IR Society’s Best Practice Awards 2012.

CRH contracted web development agency Arekibo to build a dynamic online investor relations platform to communicate with stakeholders.

The site features online integration with Reuters, with live financial updates from Dublin, London and New York stock exchanges and is optimised to deliver content to desktop, tablet computers and smartphones.

A new content management system has been developed to automate the publishing process, enabling CRH to produce and publish engaging, relevant and up-to-date content.

For its investor community, webcasts of key investor briefings are broadcast live. Copies of investor presentations, annual and interim reports, CSR reports and interim management statements are all available online. News releases are published in the media section immediately after release to the stock exchanges.

“Working with Ireland’s largest plc, we needed to deliver a digital solution to CRH that would complement its leadership profile online,” Arekibo CEO Martin Casey explained.

“To be a finalist among the top 4 FTSE 100 corporate websites provides a great endorsement of all the great work carried out by both our team and CRH.”
