Futureproof explores future of TV

7 Oct 2009

Online video has firmly found its place with the iconic YouTube, services like Vimeo and Qik, and the increasing audience of internet-only TV series like ‘Diggnation’ – but what is its true extent and will it kill the traditional TV model?

These are some of the issues that will be explored in tomorrow’s Futureproof, an online marketing conference for businesses that will be taking place in the Digital Hub, Dublin.

With a focus on online video, speakers – both international and Irish – will be looking at key trends in the video space, branded entertainment and the rise of the independent producer.

One of the keynote speakers will be Kevin Prager, co-founder of Revision 3, a San Francisco-based online TV network that produces popular shows including ‘Diggnation’, with Digg co-founder Kevin Rose (also a co-founder of Revision 3) and the ‘Totally Rad Show’ – two shows with high viewership, targeting niche audiences and with semi-traditional sponsorship deals.

Prager will be talking about the rise of the independent producer, with founder of 1938 Media, Loren Feldman, as a panel member.
