New Meteor app helps users manage account details

Meteor has introduced a MyAccount Android app, letting its customers view and manage their account details.

The app, created by Irish mobile technology specialist Puca, lets users view calls, check up on their data and text usage, look up bill summaries and view their subscribed bundles.

It also lets them add new bundle options, edit their account details and change their PIN or address.

Meteor said it focused on bringing the “same levels of customer self-service and control that is currently available” on its website to mobile devices, which inspired the company to create the app.

“We have made some very high-spec Android smartphones available to our Pay As You Go base and we feel this will be a big success with our customers,” said Bill Blake, Meteor’s head of consumer segment.

“With this innovative app, we continue to deliver on our promise of excellent customer care, allowing our customers to access their account details easily and conveniently.

“MyAccount puts you in control of your costs and mobile usage with your account controlled soley by you and at your fingertips at all times,” said Blake.

The app works for both Pay As You Go and Billpay Meteor customers and is available for free on the Android Marketplace.
