The ultimate history of Facebook (infographic)

23 Feb 2013

Social networking behemoth Facebook has come a very long way since its launch in 2004, and a new inforgraphic pulls its evolution all together into an ultimate history of the company.

The infographic by MyLife that’s published on Visual.ly is chock full of details about Facebook’s bumpy rise to success, beginning in 2003, when Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg created Facemash while he was a student at Harvard University.

The infographic moves on to highlight Facebook’s expansion to other universities, investors that have backed the company, the film The Social Network, as well as its acquisitions, lawsuits, milestones, eventual IPO, and plenty more.

It’s an impressive infographic – like a condensed Facebook encyclopedia, all in one space.
