Some 50 high-growth US start-ups and 50 Irish start-ups are to engage in an entrepreneurial learning process at the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin in September as part of the 1916 Rising centenary celebrations.

On the week of 18 to 24 September this year, 50 Irish high-growth start-ups and the 50 US mid-west region start-ups will take part in the Global Entrepreneurship Network’s (GEN) Pipeline Global Innovators Summit in Dublin.

GEN Global is a 160-country network of similar initiatives worldwide aimed at creating one global entrepreneurial ecosystem. In total, GEN Global works with 10m people and has 25,000 partnerships worldwide.

Pipeline is holding one of its programme master classes and modules, with entrepreneurs, investors and mentors from Ireland and the US, with attendees from MIT, Kauffman Foundation, Microsoft and Woodland Venture Management to be in attendance.

The event is happening as part of GEN Ireland‘s recently announced Start-up Centenary Celebrations to allow start-ups to foster strong relationships, share in knowledge and learn on the theme of globalising their businesses.

“This is an unparalleled opportunity for Irish start-ups to find ways of expanding their global network,” said Maree Helena, co-founder of GEN Ireland.

“Through learning and sharing knowledge, they have a platform to fast track their businesses on a global scale.”

In 2014 alone, Pipeline entrepreneurs grew their revenues by $179m and raised more than $207m in capital.
