Fifteen early stage digital start-ups taking part in the NDRC’s LaunchPad Accelerator programme – recognised as one of the best in Europe – will be put through their paces by venture capitalists and angel investors in the coming weeks.

On 8 December, the companies will participate in the ‘Lift-Off’ half-day competition, where they will pitch and demo their products before an investor-only audience.

“Pitching companies have been through a rigorous accelerator process that has included mentoring, business plan modelling, micro-seed investment, weekly workshops and networking opportunities … they are now ready to launch to market.

Spark of Genius

“Already one participating company – Redeem&Get – has won the ‘Spark of Genius’ accolade at the Dublin Web Summit.

“These emerging start-ups can offer an angel or VC a derisked investment option that will launch a product or service to a defined market in a short time period.”

Previous LiftOff winner ‘b-sm@rk’ and runner-up ‘Scrazzl’ have both progressed to raise private follow-on investment funds and have launched to markets both at home and abroad.

NDRC has to date secured €4.8m in commercial investment for technologies and start-ups.
