Julie Sinnamon, Enterprise Ireland CEO, presented the record 2017 export figures from the State agency at a press event in Dublin.

In 2017, export sales by Enterprise Ireland companies increased 7pc to €22.71bn – the highest level of export sales in the history of Enterprise Ireland, and the eighth consecutive year of export growth.

Also presented at the event were the results of the Enterprise Ireland Brexit survey. Of 2,400 Irish companies surveyed, 85pc said they are taking action on Brexit.

“Of course there are challenges ahead, but I believe Irish companies are resilient, they’re strong and the results today show that,” said Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys, TD.
