Philip Ryan spoke to SiliconRepublic.com about his experience working at Amgen, from intern to graduate to senior manufacturing associate.
Senior manufacturing associate Philip Ryan first came to work at Amgen as an intern during his fourth year at Maynooth University.
He then went on to join its graduate programme, where he got the opportunity to explore different areas within manufacturing.
“The big thing is, when you come out of college, to get an opportunity to have a taste of all those different areas,” he said.
“Say you’re a manufacturer but you might want to see how things work in QC, you have that opportunity. If you want it and you show that you want it, the company are more than willing and the mentors that you have in the grad programme are more than willing to reciprocate that.”
