Brian Honan

Brian Honan of BH Consulting has been shortlisted for ‘Information Security Person of the Year’ in the prestigious SC Magazine awards.

The SC Magazine Awards honour professionals working to secure enterprises of all sizes, vendors and organisations that deliver innovative security technologies.

The panel of judges are selected for their experience and impartiality and are drawn from the senior ranks of the information security profession.

“The SC awards Europe has always attracted the industry’s best people, technology and companies to enter and it is a delight to see some really great names shortlisted for this year’s awards,” Dan Raywood, executive editor of SC Magazine, explained.

“After an exceptional year for cyber security in terms of research and development in 2012, we congratulate Brian Honan for being among those shortlisted.

“Brian, who picked up the runners-up trophy for his consultancy last year, is firmly in the running for this award due to multiple speaking opportunities throughout the last 12 months, the work he has done for the Irish Computer Emergency Readiness Team, IRISSCERT, and his establishment as the ‘go to’ man for security in Ireland,” Raywood said.
