Sony unveils its VAIO T ultrabook series

Sony is releasing its first ultrabook series – the VAIO T – which will be available in Ireland at the start of June.

The Sony VAIO T series offers screen sizes of 11.6 inches and 13.3 inches. It’s the latest ultrabook, a concept pitched by Intel which offers a slim, portable laptop with powerful specs.

The PC has a 17.8mm thick metal body and weighs 1.6kg. It runs on an Intel Core i3 Sandy Bridge processor, 4GB of RAM and Intel HD 3000 Graphics.

It can either have a solid state drive (SSD) for memory or hybrid storage which offers 320GB on a hard disk drive and 32GB on a solid state drive to boost system responsiveness.

It includes Rapid Wake + Eco to reactive the PC from sleep mode in moments and its battery power lasts up to nine hours in SSD flash drive models.

The PC also includes HMDI, VGA, RJ45 and SD card ports and comes with a built-in HD webcam.

The Sony VAIO T series is available at the start of June costing from €879.
