Mobile operator Meteor said that from today it is offering new UK and international call rates. Calls to the UK are 80pc cheaper at 10 cents per minute to landlines and mobiles and mobile call rates of 15 cents to other countries.
The previous rate for Meteor customers stood at 50 cents per minute.
In addition, Meteor has also reduced the price of calls to the US and Australia by 70pc.
“The UK is the most popular international destination for calls and so we wanted to acknowledge this and give our customers the best value rate,” Meteor’s head of Consumer Segments, Bill Blake, explained.
New broadband rates
“Earlier this week, we also launched our new mobile internet day pass, offering a 30pc reduction and giving Meteor customers 50MB on their phone for just 69 cent a day, once again offering the best value on the market.”
The new rates are now live. Customers can opt in to these great offers, by simply texting “International” to 50104.
