21 Dec 2009

Independent Digital, the online publishing arm of Independent Newspapers, achieved 2.3m unique users during October this year, according to the latest figures published by ABC Electronic (ABCe).

Total page impressions for the month reached over 30.7m, up 4pc on the last audit that was carried out in March.

Independent Digital said that only four of the 15 sites in the ABCe Island of Ireland report have been consistent in carrying out regular audits in 2008 and 2009.

“Independent Digital is continuing to deliver both comparability and transparency by regularly having our site traffic figures independently verified to industry-agreed standards,” said Ian Byrne, managing director of Independent Digital.

“The ABCe audited figures helps us to provide the online media industry with an important tool to support media buyers and advertisers in their buying decisions of spend online,” Byrne said.
