Irish software development company Percana Group that specialises in providing solutions to the life and pensions industry has secured an outsourcing deal with AZ Life, part of the Italian group Azimut.

The company said: “The size of the potential market and the level of interest from domestic and international life companies combined with Percana’s existing product offering were the main driving forces behind the company entering the outsourcing market.”

Paul O’Kane, CEO of Percana Group, said: “This is a substantial breakthrough into the outsourcing business for us. We are delighted to have secured such a contract with an international client.”

Set up in 1999, Percana Group provides mission critical software for the life and pensions sector.

After two years of research and development (R&D) St James’s Place International chose Eclipse, Percana’s flagship project, as its life and pensions system.

Percana has also sold Eclipse to Nascent Life, a St James’ Place International sister company.
