Revenue increases 18pc to stg£283.0m for TelecityGroup in 2012

Carrier-neutral data centre provider TelecityGroup’s revenue rose to stg£283.0m for the year ended 31 December 2012, an increase of 18pc from stg£239.8m last year.

The company also posted an increase in operating profit of stg£84.2m, up from stg£65.4m in 2011.

TelecityGroup’s full-year earnings per share for 2012 amounted to 28.5p, up from 21.1p for 2011, and its total live data centre inventory as of the end of 2012 was 86MW, up from 68MW at the end of 2011.

Michael Tobin, TelecityGroup CEO, said he is delighted with the company’s performance during 2012.

“The group performed extremely well, delivering 29pc growth in earnings per share and commenced its progressive dividend policy. Furthermore, we increased our available customer power by 27pc, with new site openings and major capacity expansion projects across Europe,” Tobin said.

“We have entered 2013 with a strong recurring revenue base and available capacity in all of our key locations. I look forward to another strong operating and financial performance in 2013,” he added.
