Smartphone maker HTC has filed a new complaint against consumer electronics giant Apple with the US International Trade Commission.
In its third complaint against Apple, HTC alleges that Apple’s computers and mobile devices infringe patents regarding Wi-Fi capability and processor communication technology.
HTC bought tech patents from internet search giant Google just last week.
HTC uses Google’s Android operating system in most of its smartphones, and analysts said that HTC’s latest complaint shows that the legal wrangling is becoming a much larger issue than just a dispute between two companies, BBC News Online reported.
"It is becoming a kind of an Android versus Apple war," Andrew Milroy of Frost & Sullivan told the BBC.
Early last month, HTC sued Apple in the UK after HTC lost a patent ruling against Apple in the US.
