Images of BlackBerry’s latest handsets leak online

28 Sep 2012

Though Research In Motion (RIM) has said its next-generation handsets won’t be unveiled until next year, images have apparently leaked online of the new BlackBerry 10 L-series and N-series smartphones.

BlackBerry-centric website CrackBerry has posted the images, apparently taken from marketing video mistakenly uploaded to Vimeo by the video’s editor. The video has since been taken down, but screenshots on CrackBerry remain.

Images of the full touchscreen L-series have already appeared online, but these shots are the first good look at the N-series with its full keyboard. CNET, which has actually seen the new BlackBerry devices, says these images do appear to be the real deal.

BlackBerry manufacturers Research in Motion previously stated that its new devices will not be revealed until early next year, according to its chief marketing officer Frank Boulben in an interview with CNET.
