Norton increases mobile security with Carphone Warehouse partnership

28 May 2012

Norton by Symantec recently announced a partnership with Carphone Warehouse that will see Norton Mobile Security offered to Android customers in more than 800 stores across Ireland and the UK.

Under this agreement, every new Android handset sold in Carphone Warehouse can be equipped with Norton Mobile Security for the discounted price of €19.99 (a snip down from the usual cost of €29.99).

Protection and security for mobile devices and the personal information stored there has never been more pressing, with Symantec’s recent Internet Security Threat Report revealing that mobile vulnerabilities increased 93pc in 2011.

The award-winning Norton Mobile Security features remote locate, lock and wipe, call and text blocker, and anti-phishing and web protection. The discounted software will be offered with Android devices in Carphone Warehouse stores from mid-June.
