Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes married his longtime boyfriend Sean Eldridge on Saturday at their home in Garrison, New York, and Hughes announced the news on the social network.

Hughes added a life event to his Facebook Timeline that simply says, “married Sean Eldridge”, and put up three wedding photos, as well.

Hughes (28) is now the owner and editor-in-chief of arts and politics journal The New Republic, but in 2004 he was roommates with fellow Facebook co-founders Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz.

Eldridge (25) is the founder of Protect Our Democracy, an advocacy group for campaign finance reform, and president of investment firm River Ventures.

Hughes and Eldridge met in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2005, where Hughes was a senior at Harvard University and Eldridge was working as a customer service manager for a moving company, The New York Times reported.

Guests at Hughes and Eldridge’s nuptials included Zuckerberg, and Napster co-founder and founding president of Facebook Sean Parker.
