RendezVous353.com, a social networking site aiming to link emigrated Irish people with each other, has been launched in the UK.

The site held a launch party in London, where it is targeting the city’s large Irish community which runs into the millions, including second and third-generation Irish.

It announced that, in a strategic partnership, it would provide social and business networking services with Ireland.com.

Users of Ireland.com can click a link directly to RendezVous353.com to let them join. This integration will go live in December and RendezVous353.com wishes to form a similar partnership with a UK paper.

RendezVous353.com wishes to help people with an Irish connection worldwide to network and share knowledge and ideas with one another.

“RendezVous353.com is especially appropriate during these challenging times,” said Limerick-based co-founder Richard O’Donnell.

Worldwide, the number of Irish diaspora has reached 80 million. The site’s London group has gained more than 1,000 members, bringing the total membership to more than 12,000.
