Move over Angry Birds, now it’s the Bad Piggies’ turn to play (video)

20 Sep 2012

If you play any of the games in Rovio’s wildly successful Angry Birds series, you’ll know that pigs are the egg-stealing bad guys. But now, in its ‘piggest’ game ever, Rovio is giving the villainous swine a chance to take off.

Bad Piggies is a spin-off that lets users take on the role of the green pigs made famous by the original Angry Birds. Players of the parent game will know that the pigs are good at building fortresses to protect themselves from the kamikaze birds, and this game brings that creativity to a new level.

In Bad Piggies, players help the pigs build contraptions to help them travel – and fly – through the game world, scoring for the stars they collect on the way.

A multitude of possible combinations can form the buggies the pigs travel in, making the new Rovio game something of a cross-over with recently released Amazing Alex.

The new game will be available for iOS and Android devices, as well as Mac computers on 27 September, while Windows Phone and Windows users will have to wait a little longer.
