Dublin’s Student Summit to focus on entrepreneurial journey

2 Feb 2016

The Irish Student Summit 2016 takes place this Thursday, 4 February, in Dublin Castle, and will see more than 600 students gather alongside more than 40 start-ups, exhibitors and leading business speakers.

As well as 22 workshops, the line-up boasts leaders from Twitter, Paddy Power, the American Embassy, Ireland AM, Mór Gin, Cool Beans and Deliveroo. And, indeed, our own Silicon Republic CEO, Ann O’Dea, will give the closing keynote.

One student start-up will also walk away with a €1,500 investment in its business idea. At the Summit on Thursday, two finalists from the Student Start-up competition will go head-to-head in front of an audience and a panel of judges, who will vote for the winner of the €1,500 investment.

“The Student Summit has hand-picked some of the most influential speakers to help inspire the generation who will shape the world of tomorrow,” say the organisers. “This year, the Student Summit has taken a tailored approach to focus on purely the entrepreneurial capacity, showcasing personal stories, interesting tips and facts to equip students with all the right ingredients they need to start something special.”
