Balderton Capital leads US$9m investment in My-wardrobe.com

Barry Maloney’s Balderton Capital investment group has led a Series A investment round of US$9m in e-commerce site My-wardrobe.com with Balderton partner Dharmash Mistry joining the board.

The e-commerce start-up My-wardrobe.com is just over four years old, having launched in April 2006 and now has 85 employees in the UK, with large growth in the past few years.

Investment firm Balderton Capital is based in London and one of its founding members and partners is Irishman Barry Maloney, who has previously served as CEO of O2 Ireland when it was known as Esat Digifone.

Balderton Capital recently sold its share in online lingerie retailer Figleaves.com as part of an overarching €15m and has also invested in tech firms including Bebo, Betfair, MySQL and Habbo Hotel.
