Presenters at last year's How 2.0 conference in Dublin City take questions from SMEs

A conference in Dublin this Wednesday will aim to help businesses capitalise on the Web 2.0 era and develop their online presence.

The one-day conference, How 2.0 Market Your Business Online, will take place in the Radisson Hotel, Dublin 8. It will focus on how small businesses can develop their online presence to engage with current and potential customers in a way that generates real return on investment.

Commenting on the importance of online marketing for small businesses, Karl  Murray, founder of How 2.0 market Your Business Online, said that the internet has opened up new marketing avenues, such as social media, for businesses to communicate with a much wider audience online.

“The challenge now for small business owners is to start using online media strategically,” he said.

Workshops will include pay-per-click advertising, Facebook, blogging, email marketing and LinkedIn, said Murray.
