Shia LaBeouf’s ‘motivational speech’ might inspire some Leaving Cert students – Gigglebit

Shia LaBeouf in the video

“Just do it.”

No, it’s not a new Nike advert, it’s Shia LaBeouf’s advice in a YouTube video entitled “the most intense motivational speech of all time”.

The one-minute clip consists of LaBeouf, who is standing in front of a green screen, shouting at the viewer to “just do it, make your dreams come true”.

It might be worth a look for any Leaving Cert students feeling in need of motivation over the coming days…

The clip is actually part of a longer piece called #INTRODUCTIONS, which saw LaBeouf,  and his regular artistic collaborators, British artist Luke Turner and Finnish artist Nastja Säde Rönkkö, team up with Central Saint Martins BA Fine Art 2015 students.

The project is part of the London art school’s Fine Art BA degree show, and it actually involves LaBeouf performing 36 short segments of the students’ work to camera, but it is the ‘Just do it’ segment that has garnered all the attention.

Which means, of course, it has also inspired numerous parodies…
