German enterprise software giant SAP reported third quarter revenues of €2.42bn, up 9pc on last year. The company also revealed that it now has a 27pc stake of the worldwide US$35.9bn enterprise software market, with annual revenues in the range of USD$9.6bn.
The company reported a profit of €408m for the third quarter, up 10pc on last year.
Software and related service revenues for the third quarter were €1.74bn, up 13pc on last year. Software revenues for the quarter were €715m, up 11pc on last year.
SAP reported an operating margin of 24.8pc, which was flat compared with last year.
Based on software and software-related service revenues on a rolling four quarter basis, SAP’s worldwide share of core enterprise applications vendors, which account for approximately US$35.9bn in software and software related service revenues, increased to 27pc for the four quarter period ended 30 September.
“We are pleased to announce another strong quarter in which we continued to report double-digit growth in software and software-related service revenues in each region and additional share gains among core enterprise application vendors,” said Henning Kagermann, CEO of SAP.
The third quarter also showed excellent results on the product side. For our established business we demonstrated further progress on the business process platform with a continued increase in the number of customers adopting both SAP ERP and SAP NetWeaver.
“For our new business, we held the branding launch of our new breakthrough innovation solution SAP Business ByDesign, which has gone live with 20 customers. We look forward to the remainder of the year, as we continue to invest in our business for future growth,” Kagermann added.
