Less than a week before its official launch, the specs for the OnePlus Two and images of what the device will look like have been leaked, revealing a smaller size and what appears to be a fingerprint reader.
As far as the release of new phones go, the OnePlus Two specs have not exactly been kept secret compared with some other manufacturers, with many of the details now leaked, along with more recent images of the phone.
According to NDTV, the phone’s spec will be once again rather powerful compared with some of the other major manufacturers, featuring a hefty 3,300mAh battery, dual-SIM support with what appears to be a smaller screen size with dimensions of 148.6mm x 71.7mm.
By comparison, the OnePlus One, which Siliconrepublic.com reviewed earlier this year had dimensions of 152.9mm x 75.9mm.
However, the biggest addition to the hardware, judging from the new leaked photos, shows a fingerprint reader to bring it in line with other major phones on the market like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6.

Getting a VR launch
Other hardware and software show that it will feature its latest version of Oxygen OS, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, 4GB of RAM and a standard micro USB port.
The source of these new images appears to be from the company’s base in China where a Weibo user known as KJuma, who has previously revealed other photos of the OnePlus Two, managed to see the design model first hand.
The OnePlus Two will get its official launch on 27 July, when rather than invite a load of people to a conference the company plans to launch it through virtual reality (VR) headsets to anyone who has one.
When released, the phone will be invite-only to buy, like its predecessor, at least for the first few months of its release, with prices believed to start from just under €300 and go as high as €411.
With many diehard fans of the start-up’s OnePlus One phone, it might not come as a surprise that some fans are eagerly anticipating the new phone, so much so that they made a rather-terrifying short film.
