In a move eerily reminiscent of the halcyon days of the pre-2000 technology boom, Dublin technology outsourcing firm IT Alliance says it plans to recruit up to 40 graduates when it participates in its first third-level milk round since 1998.
IT Alliance Group is one of Ireland’s largest and fastest growing IT services organisations. Established in 1997 and employing 250 people, the company provides a range of services, using its Tier 2 Service Alliance model, to a wide variety of blue chip companies. The company says it has recently experienced significant growth in both existing and new markets.
Dublin-headquartered IT Alliance aims to recruit from many of Ireland’s third-level institutions.
“This is great news coming from an indigenous IT company,” commented Bernie Cullinan, chairperson of the Irish Software Association. “It shows that demand for technology-related graduates is back with a bang.”
Graduates will be hired to work in the areas of software development and tech support, with graduates of engineering, computer science and languages required. IT Alliance will provide successful applicants with full training and career advancement opportunities.
“The quality of the jobs is a reflection of the move by Ireland to move up the technology value chain,” added Cullinan.
