pTools expands into Canadian market

Dublin-headquartered enterprise CMS provider pTools has opened a new office in Toronto to expand its focus on the Canadian and North American marketplace.

The company has appointed a new general manager for Canada, Dee Allott. In recent years, it gained key customers and partners, including Heenan Blaikie, Wolters Kluwer and WatServ ERP Cloud Computing.

“We have in the past made tentative steps in international markets without the commitment in terms of people and resources needed to grow business and gain long term partnerships and customers,” said Keith Wood, the new CEO of pTools who took over from Tom Skinner, pTools founder, in September last year and has driven the new Canada operation.

“This has changed and we are now a company working equally in Toronto and Dublin. I am excited to be working again with pTools at this important time and believe strongly in the future of our plans for Canada and other international markets,” Wood said.

Plans for Canada

Allott is former president at Lexmark Canada and general manager of Lexmark Europe. He brings a wealth of experience to the pTools team and company plans for growth and development.

“pTools has been working quietly over the past two years to build a foothold in the Canadian marketplace,” Allott said.

“I am struck by the highly developed software the company can deliver to partners here and I believe there is a real opportunity to grow a strong Canadian business. pTools has already built a reputation for working with top-level customers and this is something that is clearly appreciated here.”
