Talk Talk creates 60 new jobs in Waterford

Some 60 new jobs are due to be created by consumer telephone and broadband firm Talk Talk at its customer services and sales centre in Waterford.

TalkTalk Waterford, previously known as AOL Broadband, already employs more than 700 people at the contact centre, which opened in 1998.

Fifty of the new jobs are full-time positions, with 10 part-time positions also being created, and TalkTalk is to begin hiring these new staff immediately.

TalkTalk’s Waterford Contact Centre manages the customer support function for all TalkTalk & AOL UK customers.

We have a fantastic team here in Waterford, made up of highly motivated individuals who put our customers at the centre of everything we do,” said Heather Roche, director of Contact Centres for TalkTalk.

“We are delighted to expand our workforce here again and to continue to support our growing UK businesses. We continue our ongoing commitment to the local community in the southeast, and indeed to Ireland, as we have done for more than 10 years.”

TalkTalk is the consumer telephone business of UK mobile phone retailer The Carphone Warehouse.
