Energis acquires Nevada tele.com

4 Nov 2002

Energis has today acquired Nevada tele.com from Viridian Group plc. Viridian previously owned 50pc of the shares in a joint venture with Energis.

The acquisition not only secures the future of Nevada but also strongly positions the Energis and Nevada businesses to extend their range of services and grow in both Ireland and the UK.
The agreement will ensure continuity of service to all Nevada customers in Ireland whilst also providing Nevada with access to leading edge technological developments.
Energis is a leading provider of high-value telecoms and internet services to major UK companies and public institutions. Its customers include the BBC, Boots, Freeserve and Thomas Cook.
John Pluthero, chief executive of Energis, said: “This is an important further demonstration of Energis’ strength in the market and our commitment to growing the business. Nevada’s customer base, products and services and network capabilities complement those of Energis. The integration of the two businesses will consolidate our position as a leading provider of telecoms and internet solutions in the UK and Ireland.”
