Imaging solutions provider Canon is lending demanding office environments a helping hand with the
imageFORMULA DR-M160, its most powerful, compact desktop scanner.
The imageFORMULA DR-M160 document scanner offers duplex scanning speeds of up to 120 images per minute at 300dpi. This makes it ideal for batch capturing environments that require a fast and accurate data extraction and document processing solution.
The imageFORMULA DR-M160 incorporates heavy duty feed rollers and a solid paper transport, enabling it to take on heavy workloads at peak times.
With a large capacity 60-sheet document feeder that separates paper, mixed batched documents of different sizes can be quickly processed.
The imageFORMULA DR-M160 can also be used across many business applications. It is capable of scanning various document types, including thick and thin sheets, embossed cards and documents up to 3m in length.
For seamless operation, the imageFORMULA DR-M160 features an intelligent separation retry function. This automatically returns any documents to the input tray for rescanning, where the device detects more than one sheet has been processed at a time. Additionally, the double feed release button allows the user to bypass the double feed detection as required and continue scanning, for example, when scanning an envelope.

The device is bundled with a suite of professional software that offers tools for business document processing, including quick connectivity to SharePoint, and can save files to PDF-A for long-term archiving.
The imageFORMULA DR-M160 is available from September 2011 for €1,295, including VAT.
