HTC Sensation XE out mid-October on O2

The HTC Sensation XE, a smartphone with a 1.5GHz dual core processor and Beats Audio, will be out in Ireland from mid-October on O2.

The smartphone has a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen with 540 x 960 qHD resolution and Gorilla glass for added protection.

The Sensation XE follows HTC’s US$300m investment into Beats Audio. It will be the first device with this technology, which includes software and hardware enhancements. It also collaborates with the Beats by Dr Dre in-ear headphones, which come with the phone.

When the headphones are plugged in, the handset switches to the headphones’ specific sound profile to deliver optimal sound.

The Sensation XE has an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p recording and dual LED flash. It also has a VGA front-facing camera.

It has enhanced the battery since the last HTC Sensation, boosting it from 1520 mAh to 1730 mAh.

The HTC Sensation XE will be available only from O2 for free on bill pay and costing €479.99 on prepay.
