Life Sciences International Summit

2 Nov 2010

The inaugural Life Sciences International Summit carries the theme of ‘Towards 2020: Harnessing the Opportunities’ in its effort to create a positive message about life sciences, nationally and internationally, and to answer the question: where is the industry going?

The day-long 11 November event at Croke Park will feature Irish and international speakers that are at the forefront of their industries, who will take part in three sessions on the day: ‘Connecting the Dots in Life Sciences’, ‘How do we Innovate?’ and ‘Selling Ireland as a Global Test Bed for Innovation.’

The Life Sciences International Summit is also an opportunity to showcase what Ireland can offer the rest of the world and while the morning discussions will address global industry developments, the second half of the day will focus on Ireland’s role.

The summit aims to provide an overview of the challenges facing the global life sciences sector as well as critical insights into possible developments and solutions. Its purpose is to map out a distinct route for Ireland and Irish operations in this challenging environment. From domestic to multinational, start-up to well-established; from pharmaceuticals to medical devices, venture capitalists to government agencies, the summit will offer an all-round view of the life sciences sector as it stands in 2010.
