A charity hurling match where the Tipperary senior hurling team will play a Munster senior hurling team will be live streamed on the Munster GAA website.

The game will be streamed by digital content specialists Ballywire Media from the Munster GAA website tomorrow (28 January) at 3pm. All proceeds for the game will go to Breast Cancer Ireland.

“We are delighted to be involved in this fundraising initiative to support Breast Cancer Ireland,” said Paul Collins, founder of Ballywire Media.

“For our part, we are enabling hurling fans from around the globe to enjoy this rare hurling encounter by live streaming the game on our Ballywire platform. We hope that this will go some way to increasing awareness of the vital work of Breast Cancer Ireland,” he said.

Breast Cancer Ireland is a charity administered through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland aiming to raise funds to support breast cancer research programmes in the country.

“When breast cancer affects a person, it not only affects them personally but has a huge impact on their family and friends,” said Aisling Hurley from Breast Cancer Ireland.

“We are delighted to have been chosen by the Tipperary and Munster senior hurling teams for their event this Saturday and we wish them the best of good luck. Support for research is critical if we are going to advance a cure for this disease,” she said.
